Bernadeth looked at Josh across the table, waiting. Sige Kuya, anong next? Bernadeth asked. Josh turned a few pages and stopped. Matthew 13:31-32. The Parable of the Mustard Seed. Josh replied.

Bernadeth read the verses slowly. The smallest of all seeds. Yet when it grows, it becomes the largest of garden plants. Ang liit-liit lang noong binhi. Tapos naging punong nakakapagbigay ng lilim. Bernadeth said quietly. Oo. Josh answered. The room felt still for a moment as the meaning settled. Parang 'yung pagsisimula natin minsan. Ang hirap paniwalaan na may magiging epekto. Bernadeth continued. Josh said.

Why It Matters in 2026

In a culture that measures success by speed and size, the mustard seed still speaks. Many people feel their efforts are too small to matter, a single conversation, a quiet prayer, a small act of obedience. This parable reminds us that God is not limited by how the beginning looks. What He plants, He can grow.

Bernadeth closed the Bible gently. O Kuya, saan 'yung susunod? she asked. Buksan mo sa Matthew 13:33. Doon 'yung Parable of the Yeast. Josh replied. → We continue with The Parable of the Yeast on October 8 at 11:23 AM.
