Bernadeth looked up from the page.
Kuya, anong susunod? Bernadeth asked.
Josh turned the page carefully.
Matthew 13:44. The Parable of the Hidden Treasure. Josh replied.

Bernadeth read the short parable. A man finds treasure hidden in a field. He hides it again, then in his joy sells everything he has and buys that field.
Parang ang bigat ng decision niya. Ibinenta niya lahat. Bernadeth said.
Oo. Pero hindi siya nalungkot. Joyful siya habang ginagawa 'yon. Josh answered.
They sat with the weight of the story for a moment.

Exactly. Hindi forced. May joy sa pagbibigay ng lahat para makuha 'yung mas mahalaga. Josh said.

Why It Matters in 2026
In a time when people are constantly measuring worth by money, status, and visibility, this parable cuts through the noise. It asks a quiet but sharp question: What are you willing to release when you finally see something of greater value? The man in the story did not lose — he gained. That shift in perspective still matters.
